බදාදා පැවැත්වුණු ලෝක දෙමළ සංසදයේ ආරම්භක දේශනය පැවැත්වූයේ බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය විදේශ ලේකම් ඩේවිඩ් මිලිබෑන්ඩ් විසිනි. මෙය ලංකාවේ රජයේ දැඩි විරෝධයට තුඩු දුන්නේය.
බලය බෙදා ගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ව්‍යවස්ථා ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කරන ලෙස මෙම කතාවේදී මිලිබෑන්ඩ් ලංකාවේ රජයෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියේය.
මේ අතර, මේ පිළිබඳ නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරන ජාතික ආරක්ෂක මාධ්‍ය ප්‍රකාශක කෙහෙළිය රඹුක්වැල්ල බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය අගමැතිවරයා මෙම සමුළුවට සහභාගි වීම සදාචාර විරෝධී බව පවසයි.

ReplyDeleteSo your point is that we should applaud the British government snubbing Sri Lanka? This is the same regime that illegally invaded Iraq and caused millions to die and be displaced.
We have enough influence to prevent Britain from passing a motion against us in the UN. We have enough power to finish off the war without listening to them.
