ReplyDeletePlease write a good article about quality assessment and standards of private hospitals in SL.
As I know most of the private hospitals are run by businessmen, blessed by polititians. They never think about patients.
They charge un reasonable amounts. Doctors and medical staff pay is minimal, (a specialist charges 1000-2000 per day, per patient) but they put high charges which they keep as their profit.
For example room charges are around 7000 - 10000 per day. They put medical officer charges, about 3500 per day. Which they dont pay to their resident doctors. They keep that as profit.
They put another 2000 as nursing charges, which they dont pay for nurses. Thats also their profit. This is a GASA KEMA of innocent people's money.
They sell drugs at very high price, no regulation.
They charge twice for investigations.
They run with minimal staff, to make more profit, thus service is low, staff is over worked.
Please look into this, find facts and figures and write a good article.
