ReplyDeleteTo avoid these type of situation as a country we should have a common law respective of the religion we practice, but if the government tries to implement these laws it is the very people who protest against this type of wrongdoing will cry saying that minorities rights are being infringing.
They use a funny way like “සන්හිදියාවට බදා කරනවා “
All personal laws in relation to marriage must be abolished and one common law must be imposed. It is not against reconciliation.
DeleteWhy just for marriage ? Can’t we apply for everything for example we can have a common law far land ownership so there will be no thesawalamai law “Under this law, not all property could be given away.”

no nation on earth has resolved the problem of mistreatment of women. Before the bombs women and children certainly were a lot safer, fewer unnatural deaths, fewer refugees, fewer brutal tortures and rapes mostly by western soldiers, though....
